The Ceramics Expo in Cleveland was a great success ! TevTech exhibited at the Expo last month and was surprised by the vast array of attendees from all over the world. The panel discussions on Additive Manufacturing at the Expo2015 were stimulating, there was no standing room available. Industries included transportation, automotive, aerospace, medical, electronics, military and environmental technology. TevTech will be in attendance in 2016 !! Ceramics Expo 2015
May 2015 - TevTech and Additive Manufacturing
Billerica, MA. TevTech, LLC delivered a laboratory sintering furnace to YSU’s Center for Innovation in Additive Manufacturing (CIAM). The new furnace incorporates a 8.0” diameter by 12.0” high hot zone, and has temperature capability to 2,600°C. The lab furnace's custom control system is PLC driven with a touch screen HMI . The high temperature vacuum furnace will enable undergraduate and graduate students in materials science and engineering programs to transform their 3D printed components into real products. YSU's CIAM also provides workforce development in additive manufacturing. CIAM has 3D printers that use ExOne M-Flex and X1-Lab binders that can fabricate sophisticated and complex components of ceramic and metal layer by layer. ExOne presented in front of a full house at the recent Ceramics EXPO in Cleveland, OH. For more information on CIAM and the work YSU is doing in Additive Manufacturing see their website at --- CIAM Youngstown, Ohio
