TevTech provides high temperature vacuum furnace systems for several processes in the carbon and graphite industry.  Our high temperature vacuum furnace systems are designed to improve product quality, improve throughput, and reduce operating costs.

Applications
  • Graphite Purification
    Total impurities are typically less than 5ppm in graphite components after processing in TevTech’s graphite purification systems.   In the process a chemical reaction occurs between chlorine vapor and impurities in the graphite at elevated temperature.  Moderately volatile compounds are created as a result of the reaction.  These compounds are removed from the purified graphite by reversing the differential pressure.
  • Graphitization
    TevTech’s graphitization systems provide an economical conversion of carbon to a highly uniform, completely crystallized graphite material.  Through the use of our uniquely designed high temperature heating elements, hot zone, and power distribution we can efficiently convert carbon to graphite at an energy consumption rate of about 3 kWH per pound.
  • Vitreous Coatings
    TevTech’s high temperature vacuum furnace systems for processing vitreous coatings on graphite provide a hot zone in which the customer can cure coated components to produce a vitreous coating surface layer distribution.
  • Pyrolytic Carbon Coatings
    TevTech’s chemical vapor deposition CVD systems are designed to deposit pyrolytic carbon coatings on graphite.
